Tridion Expert Summit (TXS) APAC 2022 – was held in Bengaluru, India and it did not disappoint!

 As you know, Tridion Expert Summit is an event that showcases expert knowledge within the RWS field – presenters present on various Tridion topics. Our very own Principal Consultant/Director Pankaj Gaur was a presenter too, diving into the ways you can add business intelligence (BI) to your Tridion content – but we’ll touch more on that a bit later.

Highlights from TXS 2022

The event opened with keynote speaker Alex Abey, (Senior Vice President, GM Tridion).

 Abey talked about the company’s accomplishments, and expectations moving forward. He also mentioned the ways his teams are working hard to provide the best solution to their customers – one way this is being done is through a developer portal. The portal allows a developer to search and locate crucial technical information about individual products.

Future-proof your content with semantic AI in Tridion

Venu Ireddy, (Principal Architect. RWS), focused on the importance of future-proofing content, the challenges that occurred during implementation, and the way smart tagging amplifies content, so the right content reaches the right audience, at the right time.

What’s new in Experience Space in Tridion Sites 9.6

After demoing the new features in Tridion sites 9.6 experience space, Ireddy walked us through:

  • ECL editing,
  • ECL Search,
  • Translation support,
  • Bundles, and Workflow,
  • Bach notification,
  • Multi-Select support,
  • improved visibility of non-publishable items

Sneak previews along the way to modernized architecture in Tridion Docs

Dave de Meyer, (System Architect), and Ivo Van de legamaat, (Technical Product Owner, RWS) described the steps they are taking to modernize the architecture of Tridion Docs.

They also discussed the architecture of Tridion docs, including:

  • Modules
  • Connectors
  • Background task
  • Crawlers

They also discussed in detail, the architecture of Modern Authentication and Access Management, its functionality, policies, and features. Lastly, the conversation turned to Open API, the latest versions, and its availability in the Tridion docs.

Tridion : What’s Next?

Arno van Nijnatten, ( Senior Product Manager), and Joe Pairman, Product Management, Director)provided a product management view on Tridion Docs and Tridion Sites.

They covered RWS’s core values and Tridion Docs Organizational benefits, as well as how the platform reduces both the risk and cost, while simultaneously generating additional value to content.

Joe Pairman (Director of Product Management, RWS) walked us through Tridion Docs14 SP4 features, design principles, and development path. He also addressed the community’s commentary regarding TD 14 SP4.

So what’s next?

RWS is planning its next Tridion Docs (15), release for 2023.

Here is a look at what the latest features will include:

  • The first version of Organize Space with Streamlined UX, simpler user flows, and enhanced admin control
  • New collaboration UI – which puts comments and changes into context
  • Modern authentication using open ID connect
  • BI connector to generate the reports
  • Additional powerful API,
  • And more.

Arno van Nijnatten jumped in and highlighted the newest Tridion sites 9.6 features, which now include:

  • Themes
  • Multi-select
  • Accessibility
  • Quick Create
  • Bundles
  • Translation
  • View on Site
  • Taxonomy Management Space
  • Editorial Search

Adding intelligence to your Tridion content  

Content Bloom’s Pankaj Gaur, (Principal Consultant Director), talked about the most common content challenges businesses face and the ways teams can overcome these challenges by using the Power BI reporting tool.

The demo included all the ways BI is helpful and useful in accessing ROI, Estimation, Migration of content, and reporting the existing content; all while reducing the cost.

He presented the architecture, features, and benefits of a flexible and scalable tool, created by Content Bloom: Contelligence.

Enabling multi-channel content through connectors –

The last topic for TXS day 1 was all about the connector where Soumava Sarkar, (Technical Consultant, RWS) walked us through the connector framework and all its useful features, benefits, and deployment strategies.
